Among the new features include:

General Updates:

  • MyRePORTER feature has been added allowing users to create a MyRePORTER account to save and manage queries. When users are logged into their account, the Hit List page now has a ‘Save Query’ button so users can save their search criteria.
  • Printer-friendly version of the RePORTER Manual made available.
  • Created nicely-formatted report printout for each project that includes all information found on the Description, Details, Results, History, and Subprojects tabs.
  • Added ‘Help’ feature to Hit List, Publications, Patents, and Visualize tabs.
  • Added font size increase option to printout of Description page.

Query:

  • New frequently-requested search fields added to Query Form: Project Start and End Date and Award Notice Issued Date.
  • ‘Other’ added as a category in the NIH Recovery Act Projects select box on the Query Form.
  • Updated ‘Visualize’ charts to make colors more consistent.

Search Results:

  • New frequently-requested information added to Project Details: Award Notice Issue Date.
  • Improved sorting of organizations for intramural projects.
  • Added a hyperlink to Project Details from project numbers on the Project History page.
  • Provided full name of study sections on Results page, as opposed to just the acronym .

Export to Excel:

  • Funding Mechanism and Award Notice Issue Date have been added as downloadable data elements for Export to Excel.
  • Added a hyperlink to Project Description page from project titles exported to Excel.
  • Reorganized downloadable fields into a hierarchical structure.

By reviewing publications that cite your work you can learn if other researchers have:

  • Extended your research findings using different human populations or animal species
  • Improved or modified your research methods
  • Discovered a new application related to your research findings
  • Duplicated your research

Learning how your research findings have been used by others can help identify potential collaborators for future research projects.
