If your article is applicable under the NIH Public Access Policy and you publish your article in a Method D form of submission journal, please review your copyright agreement form. Method D submission journals submit the final, peer-reviewed version of articles to PMC upon acceptance of publication. Most copyright agreement forms for Method D submission journals have sections for authors to note whether an article is applicable under the NIH Public Access Policy. If authors fail to check any boxes noting the article as applicable under the NIH Public Access Policy, the journal will not know to submit the final, peer-reviewed version of the article to PMC. This will cause a delay in obtaining a PMCID, which is required within three months of publication. See below for examples of copyright agreement forms for Method D submission journals.
