The following new editions of electronic books are now available through our MD Consult subscription:

Sleisenger and Fordtran’s Gastrointestinal and Liver Disease, 9th ed.
Cummings Otolaryngology, 5th ed.

Additionally, the Cleveland Clinic’s Current Clinical Medicine 2009 is now available.

All MD Consult electronic books are available by going to MD Consult in the Becker Library Quick Links menu at the top left of the Becker Library home page, and clicking on the Books tab at the top left.

SCOPUS Journal Analyzer–Two New Metrics Added

Two new tools (SNIP and SJR) have been added to the Journal Analyzer feature on Scopus.com and are publicly accessible. The indicators provide greater currency and flexibility in journal performance measurement.

SpringerImages subscription changes

Becker Library’s subscription to SpringerImages has changed to include only the Medical collection of images, which includes images from the Biomedicine, Life Sciences, Medicine and Public Health, and Pharmacy collections. Access is only available to the School of Medicine.

SpringerImages is a continually updated data bank of over 1 million images.
