I signed up for my print subscription a couple of months ago and I’ve really enjoyed it. I’m a big fan of the tactile experience of reading journal articles in the physical form. I love to see the words and figures in all their glossy glory. While I appreciate the convenience of e-journals, I really enjoy sitting down with an entire issue and going through the articles I may not have otherwise happened upon.
Speaking of Cell…
Cell introduces a new feature: PaperClips. For one or two highlighted papers per issue, PaperClips present short 5 minute conversations between the Cell editor and author exploring the rationale and implications of the findings. Listen to one and uncover interesting questions and perspectives that aren’t captured in print.
