How to Access Full-text Articles

You can access the full text of some articles for free through PubMed.   However, most publishers require that you have a subscription to access their articles on-line.  If you connect to the Journal Club from a computer at work, your institution’s subscription policy will apply.  Otherwise, you will require a personal subscription to the journal to read the full text.  Some publishers allow for the purchase of individual articles of interest.  Contact your institution’s subscription manager if you have questions.

Even if you don’t have a subscription, you can review the article’s abstract and read related abstracts through PubMed.

All articles will have a “Link to Abstract at PubMed” at the end of the abstract.  Click this link to open the PubMed page for the article.  From here you will be able to access full-text and related article options.

For more information about accessing full-text articles at PubMed, see

http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/books/NBK3810/#using.Viewing_Links_as_Icons_in_PubMed.

Once you have read the articles, enter your comments and join the discussion.

Due to copyright and licensing restrictions, we cannot honor requests from users to provide copies of full-text articles.
